The study tested whether candidates do better when interviewed by humans or AI voice agents… and the results were nothing like recruiters expected.

• Group 1 got interviews with human recruiters

• Group 2 was interviewed by an AI voice agent

• Group 3 could choose between the two

Surprisingly, 78% chose the AI.
And this wasn’t hidden, every call began with: “Hi, I’m Anna, your AI recruiter.”

Anna sounded natural, asked smart follow-ups, and even laughed at the right times. Candidates knew they were talking to AI… but still preferred it.

Then came the results:

• Applicants interviewed by AI were 12% more likely to get hired
